This year will be my 3rd year to return to Scarborough Faire's stages as Michael O'Quinn, and I have to say that I'm really looking forward to it. The season has started off well - I returned to the workshops for the Scarborough Academy of Performing Arts (the training for the hard-working street cast of Scarborough), and wow has that been great! I've been challenged by the level of the curriculum presented, but constantly encouraged by the instructor staff to keep working to improve my skills in street theatre and improvisational acting. This year, as last, I'll be performing on several stages. My full schedule is below the jump.
My stage schedule: - 10:00 AM - Opening gate and jam with the musicians
- 11:00 AM - Michael O'Quinn at the King's Pub
- 12:00 PM - Michael O'Quinn at the Sea Hag
- 2:30 PM - Michael O'Quinn at the Hightower Stage
- 3:00 PM - Michael O'Quinn at the Sea Hag
- 4:30 PM - Michael O'Quinn at the King's Pub
- 5:00 PM - Irish Vocal Warmup with Michael O'Quinn at the Sea Hag
- 6:00 PM - Pub Sing at the Sea Hag
In addition to my stage shows, this year I've been tapped as the assistant Music Director for SAPA, working with SAPA's own Dirty Gertie (Jenn Tustin). It's been a load of work getting things organized for this year, but the results have been fantastic! Come check out the SAPA Musicians (aka the Floggin' Brilliant Band) at: - Country Dance in the Crown Meadow at 10:30 AM
- Maypole Dance at the Maypole in Pecan Grove at 2:30 PM
- Country Dance at the Human Chess Board in the Hollyfield at 4:00 PM
- Pub Sing at the Sea Hag at 6:00 PM
Stay tuned for a CD update and more! |
Love ya babe.
