About Traveller Song
Written by Michael O'Quinn

Gypsy, cowboy, Rom, tinker, sailor, or troubadour – the name makes no difference - the method of communicating remains the same. It is the music that sets the stage and the song that tells the story - sad songs of loves lost and homes that beckon from many horizons ago, catchy tunes that editorialize on the quality of the political or social leadership, or introspective songs of the emotional and physical hardships of living alone under the stars. We bring you songs of travellers, the people who judge a life not in the years gone by, but the roads chosen for the journey.

Traveller Song is a tribute to this lifestyle and the music that it has produced. Cowboy, tinker, or gypsy – all of the songs come from the same roots. In fact, many of the cowboy songs that were sung during the 1800's use tunes brought over from Ireland, England, and Romania. Jeremy Welch, often in the character of the Tinker, Michael O'Quinn, takes you back to the days when the tales of the traveller were presented through the songs. No matter from which coast you may have sailed, Traveller Song has a story to tell that will either soothe the savage beast or loose the wanderlust within – perhaps both.

Traveller Song is not just a set of songs sung by one man - it is a musical peregrination involving many different musicians, pulled together by Jeremy's drive to ensure that the songs of the wanderers not be forgotten.
