Was speaking with Susan of the Rambling Sailors this weekend, and she mentioned that they are each trying to introduce a new song each weekend. I think that's a grand idea, so - in true Irish fashion - I'm swiping it and giving credit. Since we're at 3 weekends in and I wasn't thinking on it then, I think I'll just make a list of the songs I've added so far: - Phil the Fluther's Ball
- Northwest Passage
- Leaves in the Wind
... ... okay, so I thought there were more than that so far. Anyway, this past weekend was the first weekend I made a concerted effort to add a new song that I hadn't worked on a ton in the past. |

I posted some time ago that I was working on arrangements for a new CD, Songs in the Key of Sea. Truth be told, I'm still working on getting that sorted out. I'm looking to start recording after Scarborough Faire ends this year, with a release sometime this Summer. While I already have a list of songs that I'm working on, if there's something in particular that you want to hear me record, post a comment here, and I'll take a look at it. After all, the point of making CDs is so that people can listen to them and enjoy, and what better way to ensure enjoyment than to know that I'm recording a song that people want to hear? |

Well, I have just proven that no matter how tech-savvy you are, shyte still happens. It appears that my mail server dropped offline an unknown period of time ago, and that 2 weeks ago, I allowed my domain registration itself to expire. Silly me. Both appear to have been resolved now. If you have sent me mail recently, please don't think I've been ignoring you out of malice - mere idiocy is, in fact, the culprit. Sorry for any inconvenience. I'll now return you to your regularly-scheduled eternity without updates (just kidding - hope to have news soon!) |

This year will be my 3rd year to return to Scarborough Faire's stages as Michael O'Quinn, and I have to say that I'm really looking forward to it. The season has started off well - I returned to the workshops for the Scarborough Academy of Performing Arts (the training for the hard-working street cast of Scarborough), and wow has that been great! I've been challenged by the level of the curriculum presented, but constantly encouraged by the instructor staff to keep working to improve my skills in street theatre and improvisational acting. This year, as last, I'll be performing on several stages. My full schedule is below the jump. |

3 weekends is far too short a season to spend at Bristol. Some highlights of my (sadly brief) season: |
